Lawsuit accuses Maplewood police chief of manipulation
Police Chief Robert J. Cimino allegedly manipulated promotion procedures and the Township Committee created a law to ensure a Cimino favorite became a captain, a civil lawsuit claimed. Those represent just some of the allegations raised by Vincent J. Cuozzo and Michael J. Mault, both lieutenants who have worked for more than 20 years in the department.
