Millburn School Board votes to defer pension payments

Robert Zeglarski, assistant superintendent for business, said the move seems necessary because state officials are taking some state aid away, which is approximately how much school officials hope to defer in pension payments. The hit on state aid is only expected to be this year, he said.

Defender of deer

Mr. Piszar has argued that reducing the number of deer in Millburn isn’t making the town any safer, and it’s not helping the forests either. Now she’s out to prove it. She plans to compile a study showing the 10-year effects of deer population control in the township. Her study will examine how much money http://twp.millburn.nj.us/Results-for-2007/2008-Deer-Management, how many deer were removed each year and what the replenishing rate has been. The study will be based on statistics she has gathered over the last decade through open records requests.
